Heidi Currier, MD
Heidi Currier, MD, is a pediatric epileptologist here at Minnesota Epilepsy Group.
Dr. Currier completed her undergraduate studies at Concordia College before attending medical school at Creighton University. She then completed her pediatric residency at University of Massachusetts and her child neurology residency at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Currier then completed her epilepsy fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s.
Dr. Currier’s areas of expertise and interest include ketogenic diet, epileptic encephalopathy, and epilepsy surgery. Outside of medicine she enjoys spending time with her three children and her husband. Together they enjoy activities such as scuba diving and skiing.
Dr. Currier wants to help her patients and their families in more areas of life than just epilepsy care. “Epilepsy is a journey that I have had the privilege to walk with my pediatric and adolescent patients and their families. Not only do I strive towards a goal of improving seizures, but also work to improve quality of life through general wellness, developmental progression, and academic success with a multidisciplinary approach to care.”
Dr. Currier is well published for her participation in several clinical trials and studies. Many of the studies she has been involved in focused on seizure prevention, antiepileptic drugs, and adjunctive therapy options.

In my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my 3 children and husband. We love to travel. More recently our travel has been various places to expand our hobbies of scuba diving and skiing.
